I have no idea why I got into this game, but I’m glad I did. (most of the time lol) I was trolling the web one summer afternoon and decided to check out games. I confess that I started my character just because I thought it was fun to make it up and change it on the screen, then I decided to play it for a while and got hooked.
Wizard seems a tough one to play, likely because I’ve watched my sis play her cleric and she seems to sail through it easier. I’m sticking with it because it seems to get better at higher levels, and really there’s not much in life worth having that doesn’t require some work. I remind myself of that when I’m farming herbs so I can make things that will help my character when the battles come.
That’s not the only reason though. I was struggling through a tough mob one day and was close to dying when a very nice Blade sailed through and saved me and helped me finish the quest. Since then he’s supported me through the game in every possible way. Little did I know that day would change my life, I hope forever. Yes, sometimes the best things happen when you’re not even looking for them.
Teaming up with others and realizing how each has their place in the group and how the dynamic changes depending on the mix of characters in a squad is fascinating to me. I think the same thing applies to a faction in general, if you’re not in a decent one then it limits your possibilities in many ways. We’re fortunate here, but that’s no accident.
